In languages throughout the world, variations of the word ÜMI describe life’s most beautiful phenomena. Umi (海) is the word for “ocean” in Japanese. Umi translates to “life” in Mambwe. In Arabic, the term umm (أم) or ummi (أمي) means “mother,” “foundation,” and “source.”
